So heres the thing, we are all leading these crazy, busy lives; and we want to eat well and take care of ourselves, but the crazy busy lives make that hard. Who has time to make a home made dinner from scratch every night? What if you only had to do it a couple times a month? Thats where Soup Swap comes in

Heres How It Works
You whip up a big batch of home made soup ~slow cookers can make quick work of this~ and divides it into 6 single quart containers. Containers are labled with the soup variety (e.g. 'Vegitable Barly') and recipie. We are keeping things simple, so the 6 quarts applys regardless of the number of people in your household. You bring 6, you take home 6

THE EVENING OF THE SWAP
Folks gather at the host's home, chit chat, drink some wine, and admire the quantity and variety.

The soup chefs gather in a central locationand begin the “Telling of the Soup”. This is each chef’s opportunity to talk about what makes their soup special. Is it organic? It is spicy? Does it have anything someone might not be able to eat? Is it a treasured recipe?

Participants draw numbers from a hat to determine in what order they make their soup swap selections. Number 1 picks the first soup, Number 2 the second and so on, until everyone has selected a soup. Repeat six times until all the soup is gone.
Everyone goes home with the same amount of soup they brought, but in exchange for an hour or two making one soup recipie, you now have a wonderful mix of 6 different soups!

So thats what I want to do, and I have set up this page to help facilitate doing it.
